"Yeah You should probably stop doing that."

For the first time ever Aiko was actually talked out of her muteness. Or rather danced. Eventually during practice she'd worked herself out of her depressive state. Music really healed her somehow, it took her mind off of everything.

Nishi hit Hotoki over the head. "She couldn't help it! Don't be an ass!"

"Ow! Okay sorry!" Hotoki rubbed her head.

"T-thats alright, she's right. I really need to stop running from school." Aiko admitted sheepishly.

"Yeah but at least last time it was after school hours."

"Yeah but I might actually get expelled for this, especially after what happened with Bakugou. There's no way they're gonna let me stay a student at UA with my behavior."
Aiko put her head in her hands.

"You don't know that, if you ask me you have a pretty legit reason. Your sister Fucking died." Nishi pointed out.

"Yeah two years ago! I should be over it by now."

"Over it?! That's not how grief works Aiko! You're never actually over it!! I'm not over my mom's death and that was ten years ago!"

Aiko nodded as Nishi lectured her about grief. "I know I know! I'm sorry I just... I Don't know if my teacher will care. He's way harsh."

"I'm sure it will be okay, I mean you got off after that punch thing with just a warning. Your principal sounds chill and it's not like your homeroom teacher can expell you."

"Yeah... Right." Aiko said, because she knew he totally could.

"Hey sorry I didn't text you back, I left my phone at home."
Aiko said into her phone once she got home.

"And here I was thinking you were ghosting me." Monoma said through the phone with a chuckle. Aiko blushed a little, this was the first time they'd talked on the phone and she was super nervous. Normally she hated phone conversations.

"No I wouldn't do that."

"So where were you? You weren't at school. Next time you're planning on skipping text me, we could hang out together."

"Well I hadn't been planning it I... I actually did go, I just left during third period." Aiko admitted.

"During? Like in the middle of class?"

"Yeah something like that." Aiko mumbled.

"So why'd you do it?"

"Something... Came up I guess." Aiko told him, deciding not to trauma dump on the poor guy just yet. "I don't really want to talk about it. What did I miss in class?"

"Just boring history, I had already learned it last year. If you want I can give you my notes after school or something."

"That's if I make it, Aizawa is probably gonna kill me for ditching." Aiko groaned. "Plus I think he already hates me."

"How could anyone hate you?"

"I don't know, they just do. Tris hates me, Noriko would hate me if she could express emotions, Aizawa hates me. You get the picture right?"

"How do you know that he does?"

Aiko flopped onto her bed. "I don't... He just gives off vibes you know?"

"Yeah I could see that, he does seem pretty grumpy. But I'm sure it's not just you specifically."

"Yeah I'm sure you're right, i'm just being... Paranoid..." Aiko mumbled when something caught her eye outside.

"Are you alright?" Monoma asked at the tone of her voice.

Aiko stood up from her bed and parted her blinds with two of her fingers. "Yeah I'm fine... There's just... Sorry what were we talking about?"

"You being paranoid?" Monoma said flatly from the other line.

"Yeah, right..." Aiko peered out the window at a car. It had just parked in a driveway two houses down.

But Aiko knew that no one lived there, and no one had been there for a very long time.
"I don't know, I guess it's just my imagination." She mumbled, whether about the car or the conversation she was having with Monoma she didn't really know.

The car was black. It pulled in, parked and turned off, the interior lights went dark.
"Well I'm going to go to bed, we still do have school tomorrow." Monoma said, Aiko could hear him yawn dramatically.

"Yeah, good night. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
Aiko said, eyes glued on the car.

"Yeah, good night." He hung up and Aiko lowered the phone.

She was just paranoid.
