A Z Bnha X Oc

"Today for heroics we'll be practicing Quirkless combat. Many of you have quirks that won't work in every situation, meaning you'll need at least some experience working without them."

Aizawa droned on at the beginning of their hero training. "You can be in a situation that prevents you from using your quirk or face an opponent like me."

Aiko nodded, she couldn't really use her quirk indoors. So he was right about them needing experience.

"So I'll teach you some basic moves and then randomly pit you guys against each other. There won't be any quirks allowed outside of mutation quirks. Understood?" Aizawa asked and the kids nodded.

Aiko smiled, this could be kinda fun. She didn't have much experience but she could learn! It probably wouldn't be so bad!

💖💖💖

It was.

It was 'so bad'

If Aizawa wanted Aiko to believe he didn't hate her he wasn't doing a good job of convincing her. It wouldn't have been that horrible if she wasn't pitted against the student that was arguably the most talented at combat.

No, not Bakugou or Todoroki.

Or Midoriya or even Iida.

It was Ojiro. Mashirao Ojiro who's quirk was literally just a mutation. The guy who specialized in quirkless combat. The guy who was just muscle and fluff. Yeah, that guy.

The worst part was, he was a total whimp.

A fist connected with Aiko's face for the third time and she fell back. "I'm sorry!!! I'm so so sorry!" He cried out in panic as Aiko pulled herself up from the ground.

"I-It's okay! I'm fine!" Aiko said to the fidgeting male. She got up and ran at him again, throwing a kick that Ojiro narrowly dodged. She felt a little dizzy, and she had several bruises. Her nose was bleeding and she'd lost feeling above her right eye. But other than that she was good.

She could tell Ojiro was avoiding using his tail, obviously making an effort to not use his advantage of having a mutation quirk. At first the guy had been excited to fight at something he excelled at. Until he realized it meant he had to beat someone up.

And that someone ended up being a girl that was barely over five feet tall. After a few hits he started to feel less good about this 'training.'

He dodged the punch and hit her in the back with his right hand, throwing her on the ground. "A-Aizawa sir! C-can I have a new partner! I-I don't like hitting girls!" He wasn't meaning to be sexist. He was being honest, he just felt crappy about this.

Honestly no one was enjoying this sparring round. Everyone flinched each time Aiko was thrown to the ground. The whole class couldn't help but feel bad for her. Including Ojiro and Aiko Herself.

"Aiko Zhu do you forfeit? You could switch partners with Shouji."

Aiko got up and glanced over at Aizawa, he gestured at Denki Kaminari who looked worried. Either about facing Shouji or having to beat up Aiko. Probably the later.

"Well I uh... No I don't..." She admitted. She didn't want to have to trade partners. In real life she wouldn't be able to say: "hey I don't wanna fight this villain, can I please have another one?" No because that's stupid.

"Alright, come here." Aizawa waved her over and she did as she was told. She walked to the edge of the stage. It honestly looked a lot like a boxing ring. She sat down by where Aizawa was standing.

"What?" She asked, out of breath.

Aizawa handed her a plastic water bottle. "Here." He said, Aiko gladly took it. Chugging the water desperately. "Now listen. Ojiro is bigger and stronger than you, he's fast and experienced."

"Is this supposed to be a bad pep talk? Or are you just trying to make me quit?" Aiko asked, rubbing her nose. At least the bleeding had finally stopped.

"No, you're right in not giving up or trying to change partners. It would be illogical. But I'm telling you about the strengths of your opponent. He's fast but you also have natural reflexes. Notice the way he swings and moves his body. He uses wide swings when he attacks. You're small enough to duck past them, but you have to predict his attacks." He advised.

Aiko nodded. "Alright..."

"You can tell where he's going to move by the way he shifts his weight. Track his movements and do what you can to get him on the ground." Aizawa said.

"Okay." She said putting the bottle down.

"Alright." He nodded backing up as Aiko got back into the ring.

"Woohoo come on Aiko!" Jirou clapped.

"Yeah! Beat his ass!" Denki yelled.

There were a few other cheers from the students as Aiko stepped up. She ignored them and pressed her lips together, nervously watching her opponent.

"Alright, go." Aizawa said and the two looked at each other.

Just like last time Aiko was forced to make the first move, running towards him. This time Aiko tried to watch his movements, wanting to slow time so she could see her body moving. He leaned to his right and ducked under her arm.

Aiko watched as his body began to twist, his right hand coming up and balling into a fist. 'Shit he's gonna hit me!' Aiko thought, reading his movements but reacting a little too late. She tried to move to the side but still got hit. His fist didn't make full contact, but he sit hit her rips and made her stumble to the side.

'Okay.. okay I saw what he was doing! Next time I just need to react quicker!' She thought, trying to stay positive. She kept her footing and barely stayed on her feet. She widened her stance and watched Ojiro. She put her arms up to protect her face, which seemed to be one of his favorite spots to attack.

She watched as he shifted his weight from his left foot to his right, using it to bare his weight. His left foot lifted up to a kick and Aiko saw it before it came she dodged the kick and landed a hit on his stomach, and another quick one to his throat. Turns out all Aiko needed was a opening and she could quickly do a good bit of damage.

Ojiro coughed and stumbled back, hand on his throat. Aiko kicked his chest, trying to throw him off balance like Aizawa suggested but the boy managed to recover in time. He kept his footing and stood up. Seemingly more serious now that Aiko had actually landed a hit. The two circled each other for a bit, waiting for the other to make a move.

Ojiro stepped closer and Aiko stepped back. He jumped and used his tail to launch himself into the air. Turning in the air and whacking her in the face with his mutated tail.

In her defense... how the fuck are you supposed to predict that type of move?!

She got up right as he landed, taking advantage of the fact that he didn't have stable footing she swung her leg and hit his shins. He fell forward and swung his arms like he was trying to fly. Once he was on the ground Aiko took a shot at his face. Suddenly understanding why he didn't like hitting people.

He rolled away after she kicked his nose with her pink converse and pulled himself up, wiping his face and stumbling around. He was clearly trying to make sense of what was going on after Aiko's hard blow to his cranium. But it didn't take long for him to come back. Now he was really motivated.

Aiko didn't know if she should be happy that he saw her as a worthy opponent. Or scared because he definitely wasn't about to go easy on her anymore.

He ran over to her and threw a fake punch. Aiko fell for it and blocked his right hand while his left hand came up and hit her gut. She gasped for air as the breath was knocked out of her and fell backwards onto the ground. Ojiro was about to kick her, giving her a taste of her own medicine when she put her hand up to block.

Suddenly a blast of strong wind blew through the room and blasted Ojiro right the chest, throwing him out of the wind and into the wall.

A buzzer sounded.

"Whoops."

"Quirk use! Ojiro wins by default." Aizawa said, oddly enough he was smiling. Not at Aiko's failure.

But at her success.
