A/N I had a good bit of drafts so I decided to post again! You're welcome

💖💖💖

Needless to say, Aiko had another shitty weekend. Thank God she still had Sunday to decompress.

But then the dreaded Monday rolled around and Aiko had to haul her ass to school again.

'Fucking Mondays.' She thought, as they waited in their seats for Mr Aizawa.

The stoic man walked in as usual signifying the start of homeroom. "Alright settle down."

Aizawa says in his usual monotone voice. "We have an announcement."

The class sweat dropped at that. It wasn't often they got a happy announcement.

"The annual UA Sports festival is going to take place in exactly a month." He said, and the class's atmosphere changed from nervous to excitement.

'Wait...' Aiko thought, even though she was excited she had one nervous thought.

"It'll take place on the last Saturday of the month."

'FUCK!' Aiko clicked her pen quickly.
Her being nervous was completely justified because her concert was on the last Sunday of the month.

Literally the day after the UA Sports festival.
'Shit I have so much to do, I have the concert to finish preparing for AND I have to train for the sports festival?! That's a lot... What if I can't do it?! What if I get injured at the festival and can't perform the day after?! I'll probably be exhausted because usually students take the Sunday after to rest! Oh god...'

Aiko's clicking got even quicker as the students around her talked in excitement about what was to come.

Bakugou was yelling his usual: "I'll kill you all" and Uraraka was shouting: "ILL DO MY BEST!" Over and over again, each time with more ferocity. To the point where she was actually scaring her other classmates.

"You nervous?" Denki asked, breaking Aiko from her thoughts.

"H-huh?" Aiko asked, finally ending the clicking that was starting to bother her classmates. "O-oh... Yeah I guess... I just have so much to do before then." She said, putting her head in her hands.

"I'm sure you'll be awesome. I mean you have one of the strongest quirks in our class! You could beat most of us without even training that much beforehand. You're naturally talented." Denki said and Aiko blushed.

"I don't know about that... I mean you could K.O anyone is less than a second." Aiko mumbled.

"Yeah, anyone but you." Denki pointed out. "My electricity wouldn't do anything to you, I'd be toast if we had to fight." He groaned.

"Well not necessarily, you're physically stronger than me. You could still win." Aiko told him.

"Yeah guess. But anyways, don't worry Aiko! You'll crush it!" Denki smiled.

"Thanks Denki." She said bashfully.

"You know if any of the challenges need it, we should totally team up!" Denki said with a flashy smile. "Our quirks will totally work great together!"

"Yeah! Yeah that sounds awesome!" Aiko agreed.

Though she had a few second thoughts. What if he ended up ditching her? What if she fell behind and he left her? She didn't doubt him, she doubted herself for not being able to keep up.

She had a long list of things she had to do before that weekend.

"H-hey Jirou?" Aiko said, Jirou turned around in her seat.

"Yeah?" She asked Aiko, Denki looked between the two.

"Did you mean it when you said you'd teach me the guitar?" Aiko asked and Jirou nodded with an excited smile.

"Yeah totally! Why? You wanna learn?!" Jirou said before masking her excitement with nervousness about "geeking out" "I mean uh... Yeah I still could."

"Great! Can I come over to your house after school? I don't have a guitar at home..." Aiko said timidly, nervous about asking herself over.

"Yeah of course, that'll totally rock!" Jirou said with a smile.

"Alright! T-thanks really... I can pay you if you want-"

"Of course not! It'll be a favor, for my friend." Jirou waved her hands frantically. "I couldn't take your money."

"A-alright are you sure? I wouldn't mind-"

"No! Payment is out of the question!"

'God I hate my life.' Aiko thought, slipping into her history class once lunch was over.

Neito didn't look at her, he was just chatting with his friends. The guys laughed and a few of them glanced over at Aiko when she walked in. Before quickly glancing away and saying something in lower tones.

"That's mean! You know everyone thinks you're nice but you're not! Even Tetsu said you were cute! So I told him you're a bitch so he'd fuck off..."

She shook her head to try and forget everything Monoma said that night.

Was he telling the truth? 'Did he actually tell him I was a bitch? What else did he say about me?' Aiko looked over at the boy named TetsuTetsu, he was staring directly at her. Slightly more obvious than the other guys, but he quickly looked away after making eye contact with her.

Aiko clinched her jaw and looked down.

Anytime she walked into this classroom she wanted to cry. She was really considering asking to be transferred somehow. Maybe if she took a different third year English she could take a different subject with a different class.

She wouldn't mind taking classes with general studies students.

'What if I did and they hated me for being in the hero course? What if they kill me and take my spot?! Okay that's dramatic... But still, rearranging my schedule will probably be super difficult on UA's half. Maybe I'll see about changing once the semester is over.'

Aiko sat down and stared at her history book and notebook, she doodled on the paper. Drawing a circle, and then another right over it. Tracing the circle over and over again, trying her best not to draw out of line.

She had tons of dark circles denting the paper in this book.

The boys were being rowdy like usual, normally Neito didn't talk that much but now he was. Cutting up and joking with the rest of the guys.

"Haha yeah!" He said, and Aiko's circles got faster.

She couldn't hear them, but she was still getting anxious. What if they were talking about her? What if he was telling them all about her? About them making out, about her anxiety, about her cutting herself-

'No! No he wouldn't tell people about that... Would he?' Aiko glanced back, they weren't paying her any attention. In fact Monoma's back was to her.

Aiko took in a few shaky breaths. 'Why is my heart pounding like this?' She thought, she wasn't actually getting worked up over this was she?

Her head felt like it was filled with static. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her earbuds. But she dropped them on the ground.

'Shit... My hands are so sweaty, god this is so embarrassing. They're all looking at me aren't they?!'

They weren't.

But Aiko was spiraling. She turned to reach and grab her earbuds but a particularly obnoxious laugh from the boys group made her stop. It had absolutely nothing to do with her but Aiko was panicking.

She put her arms on the desk and laid her head in them. Trying to hide from everyone.
She felt phantom eyes watching and mocking her every move.

'Calm down, Calm down, Calm down.
Clear skies, Clear skies, Clear skies...' She mentally chanted to herself, taking deep breaths. 'Nobody is watching you.' She thought.

'Freak'

'Creep.'

'You really think people care enough to watch you? You're just trash.'

Aiko closed her eyes tightly. 'Keep it together Aiko, you're in public.' She thought, trying to calm down. She kept her head down.

"Hey Aiko, you alright?" She heard Kendo's voice but didn't respond. "Hey? Aiko?" Kendo whispered, touching Aiko's shoulder gently and rubbed her back.

Aiko just nodded, trying to end her self loathing thoughts.

"A-alright..." Kendo whispered, keeping her hand on Aiko's back. The girl bent down and picked up Aiko's earbuds.

"Do you want to listen to something?" Kendo asked gently, placing them on her desk by Aiko's arm.

Aiko took them and shoved them in her ears. Her trembling hands opened up her phone and she frantically hit play on one of her playlists.

She took deep breaths while listening to the song, trying to keep her mind off of her thoughts. 'Clear skies.'

"Picture clear skies Keiki, take deep breaths."

Aiko frowned. 'Why am I thinking of him right now?' She thought, her dad had always been the one to calm Aiko down.

Until he left.

"Imagine the clouds parting, showing the golden sun. There's always a bright side Keiki, remember that."

'Why did you have to leave?'

"Alright students! Leisure time is over! Put the devices away and sit in your seats!"

Aiko yanked her earbuds from her ears after Mr Vlad walked in. She sat up but made her bangs fall over her eyes.  She hadn't balled her eyes out or anything, but she was still scared that someone would see how watery they were.

'Clear skies...'

"Huh?! What are you all doing here?!"

Uraraka yelled when she opened the door.

Aiko looked up. Here she was thinking after this last period she would be home free.

But apparently fate had other plans. The door was jammed with a crowd of random students. Aiko looked around at her classmates as they stared at the blockade of random kids.

"Isn't it obvious? They're here to check out their competition, the class that survived the villain attack." Bakugou scoffed.

"Class one A..."

Aiko looked over, peeking over Denki's shoulder as she listened to the familiar voice.

Shinsou shoved his way through the crowd of kids. "I heard you guys were impressive... But you just sound like an ass."

Aiko pressed her lips together nervously. Hearing one of her friends insult the other wasn't great. Though he wasn't wrong, Bakugou was an ass sometimes.

"Is everyone in the hero course delusional? Or just you?" Most of the students panicked at this, frantically shaking their heads.

"No it's just him-" Denki said, trying to help.

"I was sad to come here and find a bunch of egomaniacs." He said, interrupting Denki.

Aiko pushed past to get a better look and attracted Shinsou's attention. He stared at her for a second.

"All of you seem like Cocky bastards, well except for Zhu." He added, nodding at her. He honestly had absolutely no clue she was a member of the infamous class 1A.

"Hey! We all know Aiko is wonderful! But that doesn't mean you can insult the rest of us!" Denki said, pointing at him with a glare.

Aiko gaped, looking between the two. She wasn't really sure what was going on right now. But she was happy to be left out of the insults.

"I wanted to be in the hero course, but like many others here I was forced to choose a different track. Such as life..."

Aiko watched him, not yet sure where this was going. But she listened to him intently.

"I didn't cut it the first time around... But I have another chance."

He then went on to threaten their places in the hero course, avoiding making eye contact with Aiko and forcing it in Bakugou. Aiko just smiled a little, she kinda felt proud of Shinsou and personally she was rooting for him.

"HEY! IM FROM CLASS 1-B NEXT DOOR TO YOU!!!" TetsuTetsu yelled over the crowd, jumping up to be seen over them.

"I HEARD YOU FOUGHT SOME VILLAINS AND I CAME TO SEE IF THAT WAS TRUE!!! BUT YOU'RE JUST A BUNCH OF BRATS THAT THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN US!!"

'Crap... Everyone hates us now.' Aiko's thoughts echoed most of the class.

"TALK ON!! It'll just be more embarrassing when YOU'RE KO-ED!!!" He yelled after Bakugou continued to insult him.

'I just want this to end...' Aiko thought, zoning out for the rest of the conversation. She waited with Jirou for the crowd of students to clear.

"So, you headed to my place?" Jirou asked, bumping shoulders with Aiko.

"Oh! Yeah! Sorry I was zoned out." Aiko laughed nervously.

💖💖💖

"A month?" Jirou asked with her eyebrows raised.

"...At least one song, I'm sorry I know that's asking for a lot! And I know I probably won't be able to do it-"

"Well.... That depends, it would just take a lot. A lot of constant practice everyday. Every chance you get." Jirou said. "You do seem to be musically gifted, so you might pick it up quick. It just depends."

She pulled out an acoustic guitar.

Aiko smiled a little as she turned it by ear.
It was covered in colorful stickers and across the bottom her name 'Kyoka' was spelled out in purple cursive stickers.
The strap that was made to wrap around your shoulders had several different pins on it. It looked so personal.

"This is one of my older ones. I haven't used it recently because I got a new one for Christmas. So you can take this one home to practice." Jirou offered.

"Woah, really? Are you sure?" Aiko asked as Jirou handed it over.

"Yeah, it's just been sitting around collecting dust. I have been too busy to pick up any instruments since I started UA." Jirou said, handing Aiko her old guitar.

"Now, let's start with the basics."

💖💖💖

"Kyoka!!! Honey we're home!!"

Aiko's head turned as she heard a man's voice come from outside the room.

"Oh... Sorry that's my parents." Jirou said nervously, her earjacks tapping together nervously. "Listen, If they say anything weird just ignore it okay? They're just..."

The door burst open and a man with long dreaded blonde hair came in. "Kyoka-"

He stopped and stared at Aiko for a moment. "Hi! I didn't know you had a friend over!" He smiled broadly.

"Dad... This is Aiko Zhu. We go to school together and she asked me to teach her how to play the guitar." Jirou said with a blush.

"Nice to meet you Aiko! You two girls let me know if you need anything." He said, slowly backing out. He kept his eyes on them until the door was closed.

"HONEY!!! KYOKA HAS A GIRL OVER!!!"

Aiko giggled a little and Jirou's face turned red. "DAD WE CAN STILL HEAR YOU!!" Jirou groaned. "Sorry he's... You know, He's my dad."

Aiko nodded. "It's alright, I don't mind."
Aiko said with a smile.

Was this a normal 'dad' thing? Jirou might not realize this but Aiko didn't really know what 'He's my dad' actually implied.
